Bioplastic Sheet Manufacturing
Bioplastic sheet can be made in a way that is analogous to baking. It can be done using typical baking temperatures, ovens and implements.
Drying and melting polylactic acid pellets with gypsum (calcium sulfate) in an oven produces a 'dough' that can be rolled using a silicone mat and a silicone roller. In order to prevent sticking, gypsum can be used like flour. Other non-toxic powders can be used in place of gypsum, such as ultramarine, in order to make a material like lapis lazuli
