I work in electronics, plastics and programming. I am interested in analog neural nets, biodegradable plastics and machine learning. My artwork ranges from kinetic sculptures and light sculptures to vegan taxidermy. Besides the shared set of materials and techniques that I use to produce them, the conceptual link that connects them is their shared focus on different aspects of artificial life. Most of them are inspired structurally and functionally by marine invertebrates. The goal is to push the boundaries of current art and develop robots that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but have some aspects of creaturehood and exist as an end in themselves.
