Wigwam

Wigwams

After the woolly adelgid wiped out the hemlock forests in the Westwoods (Guilford, CT) , the goal of the state forester was to encourage the regrowth of oak. I designed this project to use unwanted species and turn them into wigwams. The arches of the wigwams are made from birch saplings, while the mats are made from phragmite.
